The 25th May saw The 'Friends of Hampshire Farm Meadows' group have a second work party in the arboretum to finish off the mulching of this year’s new trees.

The 'Friends of Hampshire Farm Meadows' group had a working party on the 27th of April. Their volunteers helped the EVMA mulch the trees that were planted in December.

Signs Of Spring

A few of the trees are now coming into leaf and flower in this warm weather.

Some of the Birch trees are just starting to leaf up in the nice warm weather we are having, they are displaying nice fresh new green leaves.

Around the outside of the arboretum the Blackthorn is in full blossom giving a fine display.

The Juneberry tree is in full flower.

Katsura Leaves The Katsura tree has dainty heart shaped leaves, the first flush of leaves are shrimp pink, in the photo just the leaf stalks are pinkish.
